Seymour Cottage has no shortage of doors – its walls are made from them.
The cottage is one of the first three residences built in Romsey. It was constructed in 1855 from pairs of meranti timber doors imported from Singapore in the early 1850s.
For almost 60 years it was the home of Sidney and Elizabeth Seymour and their family.
The cottage is a fine example of a rare pre-fabricated home and is one of only 104 on the register of pre-fabricated homes in Victoria.
