Professional photographer Tiffany Warner explains how you can make the most of stunning sunsets with your smartphone.
๐ Macedon Regional Park
I love capturing beautiful sunsets. I have the sunset time programmed on my phone and I check the sky about an hour before to see if there are any clouds. The prettier the clouds, the more beautiful the sky will be.
Try to find a big, open space where you can watch the sun go down. Soon after the sun has dipped you will see the colours begin to form and then become more and more vibrant.
Rather than just pointing your camera at the sky, look for an interesting foreground. In this image, I have used the grass path as a leading line to my subject. The path and the person help to emphasise the vastness of the space beyond and the enormity of the orange sky.
๐ก Tip: Look at the foreground and find, or add, subjects to create depth.
Happy snapping!
