Professional photographer Tiffany Warner shares a simple technique to enhance the storytelling in your photos.
π Lions Head Rd, Mt Macedon
I often spend hours at a location waiting for distractions such as cars and people to move out of the way so I can capture a clean, perfect image.
However, there are times when distractions like these can be useful. In this image, keeping the cars and people in view emphasises the enormity of the snow-dusted cypress trees. I also moved in closer for this shot, and by cropping out the top of the tree I was able to capture more detail.
Cars and people can add to the story a photo tells. Donβt be afraid to leave elements in your images if you feel they enhance the narrative or alter the scale.
π‘ Tip: Try leaving some distractions in your image and compare the results to see the difference.
Happy snapping!
