Professional photographer Tiffany Warner explains how to capture birds and animals.
Unless they are well-trained, birds and animals can be particularly hard to capture, as they are constantly moving and don’t always cooperate.
The geese at Riddells Creek are used to people, so they are relatively easy to photograph without them taking off.
I love getting down to their level so they aren’t frightened. This also makes the images more interesting, and I can fill most of the frame with them so that they become the heroes of the shot.
Start from a distance and move in slowly. I had my phone almost on the ground to catch the daisies in the foreground, adding extra interest.
Frame your shot before pressing the shutter to ensure you haven’t cut off any body parts. Take multiple shots to capture different expressions.
đź’ˇ Tip: Try getting down low to photograph birds and animals.
Happy snapping!
