Welcome to Your Macedon Ranges for Monday, April 25, to Sunday, May 1.
š The Mount Macedon Dawn Service will be held at the Memorial Cross at 6am tomorrow. Access is via bus only – book a seat here. Shuttle buses will also be running from Tony Clarke Reserve in Macedon from 4.15am. See “Monday” for a list of other local Anzac Day services.
š After all the Easter chocolate, perhaps it’s timely that so many running events are coming up. Run the Rock will take place on Saturday at Hanging Rock. The local parkruns – in Woodend and Lancefield – will also be on. And if you’re a trail runner, the Mt Macedon trail run is on May 29. However, the Mirrim Wurnit Back Paddock Ultra sounds like the biggest test of endurance. Competitors will run 6.7km around a farm track every hour until only one remains. You can go along on Saturday and cheer them on – the farm will be hosting a festival featuring live music and food trucks. (For the record, the most laps anyone has completed is 33!)
