Welcome to Your Macedon Ranges for Monday, April 4, to Sunday, April 10.
🖼️ Could this become the Macedon Ranges’ version of the Archibald? The inaugural Portraits on the Mount opens tomorrow (Mon) and entries have come from across the shire in a variety of mediums, materials and forms. The prize-winners will be announced at the official opening on Saturday (2pm-4pm). The People’s Choice Award – which carries a $500 prize – will be revealed on April 30. Why not go along to The Gallery Mount Macedon and nominate your favourite?
🎠The Mount Players will be raising the curtain on The Odd Couple next month. Neil Simon’s comedy tells the story of a slob called Oscar who allows one his poker friends to move in, only to discover that he’s a cleanliness freak. The theatre company recently completed a two-week run of another comedy, Love Song, which the Victorian Drama League’s reviewer said was “a very fine production … and one of which The Mount Players should be justly proud”. Tickets for The Odd Couple will be on sale from tomorrow (Mon).
