Welcome to Your Macedon Ranges for Monday, August 1, to Sunday, August 7.
✒️ Wow! The inaugural Mountain Writers Festival has gathered an impressive array of speakers. They include Australian music icon, environmentalist and former politician Peter Garrett, Barefoot Investor Scott Pape, best-selling author Sarah Wilson, acclaimed scientist and climate-change writer Professor Tim Flannery, Stella Prize winner Evelyn Araluen and Gardening Australia host Costa Georgiadis.
The festival will be held in Macedon from November 4-6. “Mountain Writers Festival is a festival for all of us – readers, writers, locals, visitors, and especially those who care about the environment and want to engage with ways to think about and save it,” festival director Sonia Orchard said.
Tickets will go on sale very soon and are expected to sell quickly. Register at the Mountain Writers Festival website to be notified when tickets are available.

Talk Larina Strauch – Kyneton Railway Station: Today Kyneton Railway Station is notable for its collection of handsome 19th-century buildings.
