Welcome to Your Macedon Ranges for Monday, August 22, to Sunday, August 28.
🌱 The awakening of our gardens from their winter dormancy is reflected in the number of garden-related events that are coming up, starting this week. Stephen Ryan’s garden in Macedon – jam-packed with rare and interesting plants – will be open on Saturday and Sunday. And horticulturalist Craig Castree will be sharing his knowledge of edible gardening in Trentham on Saturday. If you’re looking to revamp your garden then this might be of interest: Michael McCoy and Amanda Oliver will be presenting a half-day seminar on garden design on September 30 in Mount Macedon as a prelude to the Garden Lovers’ Fair that weekend.
🎷 Hedge Farm, at Carlsruhe, is launching its program of music events, the first of which will be Friday night jazz with Jenny Blake and Rod Hulls this week. Richard Clapton will be performing at Macedon Railway Hotel on Saturday night, while the songs of John Lennon and Paul McCartney will be performed by Damien Leith and Darren Coggan at Kyneton Town Hall (also Saturday).

How am I doing?
Your Macedon Ranges is researched, written, and edited by me alone. Compiling it takes me 10+ hours each week. I love doing it, and the response has been incredible. I’m very grateful for your kind words.
If you find value in the newsletter, I’d so appreciate you subsidising my coffee habit … it helps with the collating and the writing!
