Welcome to Your Macedon Ranges for Monday, August 7, to Sunday, August 13.
đź‘Ş Are you involved in a local business? Two events in the next few months might be of interest. Both feature people who are skilled at connecting people with places. Annie Smithers, the renowned chef who runs Du Fermier in Trentham, will be the guest speaker at a business breakfast in Romsey on August 25. And Village Well founder Gilbert Rochecouste, whose work as a “place-maker” has included helping to develop Melbourne’s laneway culture and the Queen Victoria Market’s night markets, will be sharing his insights into the latest customer and retail trends at this year’s Macedon Ranges Business Breakfast in Gisborne on October 5.

How am I doing?
Your Macedon Ranges is researched, written, and edited by me alone. Compiling it takes me 10+ hours each week. I love doing it, and the response has been incredible. I’m very grateful for your kind words.
If you find value in the newsletter, I’d so appreciate you subsidising my coffee habit … it helps with the collating and the writing!
In the news
🏞️ BARFOLD: One of country Victoria’s hidden treasures is up for sale. Just 17km from Kyneton, Barfold Gorge on the Campaspe River is the only privately owned gorge in the state.
