How am I doing?
Your Macedon Ranges is researched, written, and edited by me alone. Compiling it takes me 10+ hours each week. I love doing it, and the response has been incredible. I’m very grateful for your kind words.
If you find value in the newsletter, I’d so appreciate you subsidising my coffee habit … it helps with the collating and the writing!

BIG SUNSETS
Professional photographer Tiffany Warner explains how you can capture breathtaking sunsets using your smartphone.
I love capturing beautiful sunsets. I have the sunset time programmed on my phone and I check the sky about an hour before to see if there are any clouds. The prettier the clouds, the more beautiful the sky will be.
Try to find a big, open space where you can watch the sun go down. Soon after the sun has dipped you will see the colours begin to form and then become more and more vibrant.
Rather than just pointing your camera at the sky, look for an interesting foreground. In this image, I have used the grass path as a leading line to my subject. The path and the person help to create a sense of the vastness of the space beyond and the enormity of the orange sky.
💡 Tip: Look at the foreground and find, or add, subjects to create depth.
Happy snapping!
Tiffany
📷 In addition to portrait and commercial work, Tiffany Warner runs short courses on smartphone photography for social media. See more of her images (including spectacular sunsets) on Instagram.
