Welcome to Your Macedon Ranges for Monday, February 20, to Sunday, February 26.
🚒 After a two-year break, Macedon CFA’s community day will be back this Saturday. There will be children’s activities, a petting zoo, raffles, a silent auction and stalls (cakes and food, produce, plants, and coffee and other drinks). The event, which will take place at the fire station on the corner of Smith St and Victoria St, raised $25,000 for Macedon CFA when it was last held in 2020.
🍏 If you enjoy gardening, there’s lots to see and do in the next few months. This week Simon Rickard, the former head gardener of the Diggers Club, will be hosting an online masterclass on pruning and training fruit trees. The first of the three-part series will be on Thursday. Then in March, Simon will be running a workshop on growing heirloom vegetables. As part of that afternoon course, you’ll be given a tour of his garden in Trentham. Click here to see details of local garden events.
