Welcome to Your Macedon Ranges for Monday, February 6, to Sunday, February 12.
⛪ Two services of remembrance to mark the 40th anniversary of the Ash Wednesday bushfires will be held in the next two weeks. The first of the services will take place this Sunday (February 12) in Macedon. The second service, and a public gathering beforehand, will be held on February 16 – the anniversary itself – at Mount Macedon Uniting Church, which was rebuilt after the fires. See below for full details of both services.
🛍️ Do you enjoy a good garage sale? Then you’re in luck because four whole-town garage sales are coming up. Woodend’s is the first, on February 25. Click here for all the dates and details.

How am I doing?
Your Macedon Ranges is researched, written, and edited by me alone. Compiling it takes me 10+ hours each week. I love doing it, and the response has been incredible. I’m very grateful for your kind words.
If you find value in the newsletter, I’d so appreciate you subsidising my coffee habit … it helps with the collating and the writing!
In the news
🌲 MOUNT MACEDON: Environmentalists and a residents’ group are concerned about the proposed removal of up to 2.3 hectares of vegetation in Macedon Regional Park to restore views to and from the Memorial Cross.
