Welcome to Your Macedon Ranges for Monday, July 11, to Sunday, July 17.
🌷 Is it too early to talk about spring? If you’re a gardener, you’re probably already planning for the next season. And this year there’s the return of the Garden Lovers’ Fair to look forward to. It will be held in the grounds of Bolobek in Macedon on October 1-2. Several local gardens will also be opening, and shuttle buses will ferry visitors to them from the fair. Tickets will go on sale next month, when the stallholders and speakers will be confirmed. There will also be a chance next month to explore the extraordinary private garden of former ABC Gardening Australia presenter Stephen Ryan. He will be opening his garden in Macedon over the weekend of August 27-28.

How am I doing?
Your Macedon Ranges is researched, written, and edited by me alone. Compiling it takes me 10+ hours each week. I love doing it, and the response has been incredible. I’m very grateful for your kind words.
If you find value in the newsletter, I’d so appreciate you subsidising my coffee habit … it helps with the collating and the writing!
In the news
🍂 MOUNT MACEDON: Mount Macedon has been crowned Victoria’s top tiny tourism town. “Recognition like this piques the interest of people to come and visit the region to see why it is so special,” Macedon Ranges mayor Cr Jennifer Anderson said. Mount Macedon will now compete for the national title.
🎨 KYNETON: The master plan for the old Kyneton Primary School’s transformation into a creative precinct has been released. The heritage bluestone buildings would house a gallery, a cafe and studio spaces. What do you think of the ideas? Share your thoughts during a consultation period that runs until July 31.
