Welcome to Your Macedon Ranges for Monday, July 25, to Sunday, July 31.
🕶️ Are you a fan of Reservoir Dogs? I haven’t watched the film since it made me feel queasy at the cinema 30 years ago. However, the Mount Players’ stage version does sound intriguing. Quentin Tarantino’s story of six strangers who are assembled to pull off a heist originally featured characters called Mr White, Mr Orange, and Mr Blonde. This time, however, the roles will be played by an all-female cast. The production will run from August 19 to September 4. Tickets are now on sale.
🌻 Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival is preparing to celebrate its 50th year. As part of the festival’s opening weekend (September 3-4), Kyneton Horticultural Society will be holding its Spring Flower Show, highlighting an extensive range of daffodils, hellebores, cut flowers, shrubs, pot plants, cacti and succulents, and floral art. The daffodil festival is also running art and photography competitions. Prizes worth up to $500 are available. Entries for both competitions can be submitted until August 24.
🎅 We get a fifth Saturday this month, which means Macedon will be hosting a farmers’ market. This one will be celebrating Christmas in July.
