Welcome to Your Macedon Ranges for Monday, July 3, to Sunday, July 9.
🎶 If you’re a fan of the music and style of the 1960s, Downtown! The Mod Musical promises to be lots of fun. Follow five girls as they come of age during those glorious days that made England swing. The songs are tied together by hilarious ’60s advertisements and letters to a magazine advice columnist, who believes that every problem can be solved with a “fetching new hair style and a new shade of lipstick”. See Downtown! The Mod Musical at the Bluestone Theatre in Kyneton over two weekends from Friday, July 28.
🎷 The Gisborne Singers will be staging Cabaret, an informal night of music, including popular hits, Broadway classics and solo items, in Kyneton on Saturday, July 15. And on the same day in Woodend, the RSL will be hosting a fundraising evening of dancing to Naturally Cool Big Band.

How am I doing?
Your Macedon Ranges is researched, written, and edited by me alone. Compiling it takes me 10+ hours each week. I love doing it, and the response has been incredible. I’m very grateful for your kind words.
If you find value in the newsletter, I’d so appreciate you subsidising my coffee habit … it helps with the collating and the writing!
In the news
🚴🏽 WOODEND: Macedon Ranges Cycling Club says existing plans for Black Forest Drive do little to improve the safety of cyclists, and a previous design, which would have reduced the road to one through lane in each direction, would have been better.
🏫 MACEDON RANGES: Fourteen schools will embark on a maintenance blitz in the coming weeks after receiving funding from the bushfire preparedness program.
🍂 MACEDON RANGES: Have your say about this year’s Autumn Festival. The shire council’s short survey closes on July 14.
