🎶 Woodend Winter Arts Festival – which is celebrating its 20th year – will open with two concerts on Friday night and a program of music, arts and literature over the long weekend. However, there will be no community fireworks display.
🎭 Tickets are selling fast for The Appleton Ladies’ Potato Race, starring Margot Knight, Shayne Francis and Sharni Page as well as local actors Sophie Cleary and Sheila Kumar. The comedy, based on a true story about a GP who returns to her childhood home town and stirs up the locals over the traditional potato race, will be performed at the Mountview Theatre in Macedon from June 13. Director Mark Constable said: “The play has been a smash all around the country and it’s a huge coup to get the rights and have the calibre cast we have on board.” Click here for ticket details.
