How am I doing?
Your Macedon Ranges is researched, written, and edited by me alone. Compiling it takes me 10+ hours each week. I love doing it, and the response has been incredible. I’m very grateful for your kind words.
If you find value in the newsletter, I’d so appreciate you subsidising my coffee habit … it helps with the collating and the writing!

CAMEL’S HUMP
Professional photographer Tiffany Warner shares a simple technique for making images more interesting.
This image of Camel’s Hump was taken from the racetrack at Hanging Rock Reserve.
Rather than simply zooming in on the hump, I held my phone in a portrait position to capture the track and Mt Macedon. In composing the shot, I employed the Rule of Thirds.
The Rule of Thirds is a popular technique for achieving an interesting photograph. I positioned my subject, Camel’s Hump, approximately one-third of the way from the top.
This method can also be applied when photographing in landscape orientation; simply position your subject about one-third of the way from the left or right of the image.
💡 Tip: Think about the Rule of Thirds when framing your next photograph.
Happy snapping!
Tiffany
