Welcome to Your Macedon Ranges for Monday, March 4, to Sunday, March 10.
đź‘© It’s International Women’s Day on Friday. There will also be a charity lunch at The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Trentham.

🎨 Also over the long weekend, Woodend Lions Club’s annual art show and Taradale Mineral Springs Festival will be taking place. If you want to venture further afield, the Lost Trades Fair – which, of course, has its roots in Kyneton – will be on in Bendigo, and ChillOut Festival will begin on Thursday in Daylesford.

How am I doing?
Your Macedon Ranges is researched, written, and edited by me alone. Compiling it takes me 10+ hours each week. I love doing it, and the response has been incredible. I’m very grateful for your kind words.
If you find value in the newsletter, I’d so appreciate you subsidising my coffee habit … it helps with the collating and the writing!

HYDRANGEAS
Professional photographer Tiffany Warner encourages you to look at flowers from a different angle.

I love getting creative with my photography. Have you ever tried rotating a photo to create interest?
These hydrangeas look almost like a new variety. The photo was captured in Portrait mode, which is one of my favourites because I love the depth of field it creates. I turned the photo on its side to grab the viewer’s interest. Turning photos upside down also works well, especially with reflections, as it encourages the viewer to try to figure out what’s going on in the image.
As a photographer, I am always experimenting with new ideas and enjoying the process because photography is all about capturing what you see.
đź’ˇ Tip: Experiment with your images – you might just see something you didn’t expect.
Happy snapping!
Tiffany
