How am I doing?
Your Macedon Ranges is researched, written, and edited by me alone. Compiling it takes me 10+ hours each week. I love doing it, and the response has been incredible. I’m very grateful for your kind words.
If you find value in the newsletter, I’d so appreciate you subsidising my coffee habit … it helps with the collating and the writing!
Snap it with your phone
autumn leaves
Professional photographer Tiffany Warner shares a simple technique for capturing the last of the autumn colour.
To capture the vibrant colours and beautiful detail in these autumn leaves, I positioned my phone camera up close.
This technique brought the leaves and the glistening droplets sharply into focus while blurring the background.
I angled the camera back towards the rest of the tree so that the background became filled with orange, complementing the leaves in the foreground.
💡 Tip: Get in close and frame your shot so that the detail is the main focus and takes up most of the space.
Happy snapping!
Tiffany

🎬 BULLENGAROOK: Sunbury and Macedon Ranges Specialist School’s musical has gained a much bigger audience since it originally hit the stage. A documentary about the teenage students as they prepared for their musical about John Farnham aired on ABC-TV last week and is expected to be available on Netflix early next year.
🦘 MACEDON RANGES: Locals are calling for action to reduce the amount of dead wildlife on the roads, as data from Wildlife Victoria shows that the Macedon Ranges has the highest rate of wildlife road rescues in Victoria.
