🌄 It’s National Reconciliation Week and several events will be taking place in the Macedon Ranges. Learn about the region’s Indigenous heritage at smoking ceremonies and yarning circles in Kyneton (Thursday) and Riddells Creek (Sunday). Yoorrook Justice Commission has been investigating historical and ongoing injustices committed against Aboriginal Victorians. On Tuesday in Kyneton, two representatives will be presenting the latest findings. And on Friday, the newly formed Macedon Ranges Truth & Reconciliation Group will be screening a documentary from the First Australians series.

Theatre Junklandia: In the hands of the Junklandians, everyday objects and recycled materials are transformed into musical instruments and forgotten junk comes alive in exciting and surprising ways. 🥕 MACEDON RANGES: Gisborne’s The Corner and The Flying Pigeon, and Woodend’s Sizzler Restobar have been named as winners in this year’s Edgy Veg Awards.
🚶 ROMSEY, LANCEFIELD: The shire council will provide $10,000 for the Romsey-Lancefield walking path to be repaired following community pressure. The Federation Trail has been closed since last October’s floods.
