Welcome to Your Macedon Ranges for Monday, May 8, to Sunday, May 14.
🌷 Would you like some ideas and inspiration for your garden? Michael McCoy, host of ABC TV’s Dream Gardens and a Macedon Ranges local, will be running an online garden design symposium on June 3. Among the guest speakers who will be sharing their knowledge are Australian designers Fiona Brockhoff and Andrew Laidlaw and Chelsea Flower Show gold medallists Andy Sturgeon and James Basson.
🌱 And if you’re looking to add to your vegetable garden, pop along to a local seed library. A new seed library will be opening in Kyneton on Saturday and one is already operating at Woodend Library. Horticulturalist Craig Castree will also be running a free seed-saving workshop in Kyneton on Thursday.
🛍️ Riddells Creek will be holding a whole town garage sale on May 27. Proceeds from the day will help to support the local Scout group, who are organising the event.

How am I doing?
Your Macedon Ranges is researched, written, and edited by me alone. Compiling it takes me 10+ hours each week. I love doing it, and the response has been incredible. I’m very grateful for your kind words.
If you find value in the newsletter, I’d so appreciate you subsidising my coffee habit … it helps with the collating and the writing!

🏡 WOODEND: Internationally renowned garden designer Paul Bangay’s former home St Ambrose Farm has been listed for sale. It has a price guide of $8m-$8.8m.

📺 GISBORNE SOUTH: The price paid for the final house to sell from last year’s series of The Block has been revealed. Dylan and Jenny’s house sold for $180,000 less than its reserve (The Age).
📋 WOODEND: The shire council is considering closing its Woodend customer service centre after low attendance was recorded.
🚀 KYNETON: A 2.42-hectare block of land in Kyneton with a permit for a house based on a Star Wars spaceship is up for grabs. You can take a virtual tour here (the life forms look familiar and friendly).
