Welcome to Your Macedon Ranges for Monday, November 7, to Sunday, November 13.
🎨 The dawn chorus woke me today, and rather than attempt to go back to sleep, I got up and took the dogs for a walk. Outside, it was a perfect morning: salmon pink threads weaving through the sky, the first sunlight illuminating the new leaves, and Mt Macedon standing silhouetted in the background. It was every bit the scene from a painting.
The artist Richard Chamerski, who sadly passed away in July, was a master at capturing the beauty of the local landscape. Now 155 of his paintings are about to go on show in The Final Art Exhibition of Richard Chamerski. If you’d like to see them – they’ll be available to purchase, as well – go along to the Woodend Art Group rooms at Woodend railway station this weekend.
