How am I doing?
Your Macedon Ranges is researched, written, and edited by me alone. Compiling it takes me 10+ hours each week. I love doing it, and the response has been incredible. I’m very grateful for your kind words.
If you find value in the newsletter, I’d so appreciate you subsidising my coffee habit … it helps with the collating and the writing!

fOGGY FOREST
As part of a series on smartphone photography, professional photographer Tiffany Warner explains how you can capture moody forest scenes.
Photographing on a foggy day will always provide you with captivating images. I often pop up to the top of Mt Macedon when I see it shrouded in clouds. Early mornings after an evening of rain will usually produce some good fog. Sometimes, a drizzly grey day will work, too.
Look for areas with plenty of trees so you get the fog contrasting with the tree trunks. I love to get down low and point my phone up towards the sky. As you can see in my image, everything is elongated, which enhances the mood of the photo and creates a really interesting image.
💡 Tip: Get down on the ground and point your phone upwards, holding it in portrait position to make the trees appear even taller.
Happy snapping!
Tiffany
📷 In addition to portrait and commercial work, Tiffany Warner runs short courses on smartphone photography for social media. Find out more, and see her images, on her website and on Instagram.
