How am I doing?
Your Macedon Ranges is researched, written, and edited by me alone. Compiling it takes me 10+ hours each week. I love doing it, and the response has been incredible. I’m very grateful for your kind words.
If you find value in the newsletter, Iโd so appreciate you subsidising my coffee habit … it helps with the collating and the writing!

GOLDEN DAFFODILS
As part of a series on smartphone photography, professional photographer Tiffany Warner explains how you can make flowers glow.
With a plethora of flowers popping up all over the Macedon Ranges, spring is a good time to try different techniques to show them off.
I like to capture flowers in groups, such as this gorgeous collection of daffodils I found whilst strolling in New Gisborne.
Try getting down underneath the flowers and aiming towards the sun. This way the petals really pop and the shadows create an extra dimension. I had my phone on the ground for this capture and cropped the sun from the top of the image.
You can try this on any flowers or interesting leaves. The results will be different depending on the size of your subject.
๐ก Tip: Bring out the glow by pointing your camera up towards the sun and aiming through your subject.
Happy snapping!
Tiffany
๐ท In addition to portrait and commercial work, Tiffany Warner runs short courses on smartphone photography for social media. Find out more, and see her images, on her website and on Instagram.
