How am I doing?
Your Macedon Ranges is researched, written, and edited by me alone. Compiling it takes me 10+ hours each week. I love doing it, and the response has been incredible. I’m very grateful for your kind words.
If you find value in the newsletter, I’d so appreciate you subsidising my coffee habit … it helps with the collating and the writing!

RIDDELLS CREEK GEESE
Professional photographer Tiffany Warner explains how to capture birds and animals.
Unless they are well-trained, birds and animals can be particularly hard to photograph, as they are constantly moving and don’t always cooperate.
The geese at Riddells Creek are used to people, so they are relatively easy to photograph.
I get down to their level to avoid frightening them. This also makes the images more interesting, and I can fill most of the frame with them, making them the heroes of the shot.
Start from a distance and move in slowly. I had my phone almost on the ground to catch the daisies in the foreground, adding extra interest.
Frame your shot before pressing the shutter to ensure you haven’t cut off any body parts. Take multiple shots to capture different expressions.
💡 Tip: Try getting down low to photograph birds and animals.
Happy snapping!
Tiffany
