How am I doing?
Your Macedon Ranges is researched, written, and edited by me alone. Compiling it takes me 10+ hours each week. I love doing it, and the response has been incredible. I’m very grateful for your kind words.
If you find value in the newsletter, I’d so appreciate you subsidising my coffee habit … it helps with the collating and the writing!

DISTRACTIONS
Professional photographer Tiffany Warner shares a technique to enhance the storytelling in your photos.

I often spend hours at a location waiting for cars and people to move out of the way so I can capture a clean, perfect photo.
However, there are times when distractions like these can be useful. In this image, the cars and people emphasise the enormity of the snow-dusted cypress trees. I also moved in closer for this shot, and by cropping out the tops of the trees I was able to capture more detail.
Cars and people can add to the story a photo tells. Don’t be afraid to leave elements in your images if you feel they enhance the narrative or alter the scale.
💡 Tip: Try leaving some distractions in your image and compare the results to see the difference.
Happy snapping!
Tiffany
