🌲 Parks Victoria’s new monthly volunteer-led walk on Mount Macedon, the McGregor’s Loop Walk, will take place for the first time this Friday. Learn about the history of the regional park as well as the flora and fauna along the 8km trail.
✒️ The schedule and tickets for the Mountain Writers Festival (Nov 4-6) are now available. Guest speakers and performers on the Saturday include Scott Pape (10am), Evelyn Araluen (11.45am), Sarah Wilson (1.45pm), Professor Tim Flannery (5.15pm), Shane Jacobson (8pm). And on the Sunday they include Costa Georgiadis, Hannah Moloney and Jacinta Parsons (10am), and Peter Garrett (2pm). The festival ends with a panel discussion, hosted by Tom Gleeson, at 4pm. Weekend and day passes are now on sale.
🎺 Kyneton Daffodil & Arts Festival will draw to a close with the Grand Parade and Fair on Sunday.

đź›’ ROMSEY: Work has been carried out at the site on which Coles wants to build a supermarket. The Shire Council said the work did not require a planning permit. No decision has been made on Coles’ planning application.
🌳 RIDDELLS CREEK: The Shire Council is calling on the Victorian government to purchase the remaining privately-owned land at Barrm Birrm to help preserve the area’s threatened flora and provide community open space.
