Meet the artists

Carolyn Pain
I work in a variety of mediums with a focus on clay work and sketching. My interest is the human form, which I often use as a subject for sculptural pieces or as decoration on wheel-thrown functional ware.

Marian Alexopoulos
I work with acrylic, mixed media and hot and cold wax techniques. My process involves improvising with colour and texture in an abstract way, working intuitively with the characteristics of the medium.

Madeleine Bethel
My main love is painting in oils, focusing especially on still life subjects. I also enjoy bringing found skulls to life with recycled jewellery embellishments.

Craig Lidgerwood
I am a contemporary botanic artist and exhibit in Australia and internationally. I am constantly inspired by the intricate beauty of the natural world around me.

Yvonne O’Connell
🗺️ 9 Wimbledon Avenue, Macedon
After 38 years as an art teacher, I now enjoy exploring mark making through drawing, painting and printmaking in my studio.

Jo Hoyne
🗺️ 2 Ferrier St, Mount Macedon
I love the immediacy and deceptive simplicity of drawing with pencils. Drawing is both challenging and meditative. Using the most basic of drawing implements I can capture a moment in time.

Colleen Weste
🗺️ 175 Waterfalls Rd, Mount Macedon
My passion is textiles. Inspired by the natural environment around my bush studio, I paint on silk and wool with dyes. Using shibori resist and machine embroidery techniques I create art to wear and silk art quilts.

Caroliza
🗺️ 175 Waterfalls Rd, Mount Macedon
I’m a passionate painter, influenced by art and inspired by nature and life. I strive to capture the essence of what I see around me every day. See my paintings at Top of the Range Tea Rooms, Mt Macedon.

Sue Anson
🗺️ 90 Taylors Rd, Mount Macedon
My printmaking involves relief printing with lino and vinyl on my small press. Currently I’m producing both monochrome and colour reduction prints. Recently I have experimented with fabric printing.
