Welcome to Your Macedon Ranges for Monday, April 17, to Sunday, April 23.
🏉 It’s fair to say Wayne Carey should have a few stories to tell, from his time on the footy field and off it. If you’re keen to hear them, he’ll be appearing at the Telegraph Hotel in Gisborne on May 12. Contact the pub to book your ticket.
🌳 A new Landcare group for Macedon and Mount Macedon will be launched in Macedon on April 30. The guest speakers will include group president Kate Lawrence, horticulturalist Greg Boldiston and conservation reserves officer Simon Purves.
🐨 The local environment will also be in the spotlight in Kyneton on May 7 when a panel of experts discusses rewilding as a conservation approach for the Macedon Ranges.
🎨 And finally … nine artists in Macedon and Mount Macedon will be opening their studios this weekend. You can see their work, discover how they create it, and be inspired. Click here to meet the artists.

How am I doing?
Your Macedon Ranges is researched, written, and edited by me alone. Compiling it takes me 10+ hours each week. I love doing it, and the response has been incredible. I’m very grateful for your kind words.
If you find value in the newsletter, I’d so appreciate you subsidising my coffee habit … it helps with the collating and the writing!
In the news

🌄 MOUNT MACEDON: The stories of three Woodend residents who served in World War Two will be shared at the Anzac Day Dawn Service at the Memorial Cross. If you’re planning to attend the service, you can book a bus seat here.
